AISSEE (All India Sainik School Entrance Exam) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by NTA for admission to Class 6 and Class 9 in all 133 Sainik Schools across India. Students aged 10–12 years can apply for Class 6 and 13–15 years for Class 9 as on 31st March of the admission year. Both boys and girls are eligible.
Students must score at least 25% in each individual subject and 40% overall to qualify. There is no minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates. However, the actual merit cut-off is significantly higher in most years — students should aim for the highest possible score. Young Star's mock test programme is designed to prepare students to score well above the minimum.
