Rules to Crack the Sainik School Entrance Exam 2026

No Negative Marking

The AISSEE exam is conducted offline and consists entirely of objective/MCQ questions. There is no negative marking for wrong or unanswered questions — attempt every question.

AISSEE Cut-Off Marks

Students must score at least 25% in each subject and 40% overall to be considered. No minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates. Final merit cut-offs are typically much higher.

Admission After Written Exam

Candidates who qualify the written test are shortlisted for a personal interview and medical examination. Final selection is based on written marks + interview + medical fitness combined.

Class VI Exam — Standard

The Class 6 entrance exam is based on Class V level — covering Maths (50 Qs), Intelligence (25 Qs), Language (25 Qs), and GK (25 Qs). Total 300 marks. Strong basics are essential.
